Medley

The 9 original illustrations were a part of the MA thesis gallery show at Maryland Institute College of Art in 2023. Each of our bodies have variations in texture, colour and discolouration, bumps and scars. We often deem ourselves worthy or not based on these variations. We often exist more for others than ourselves. We are taught that only perfection deserves love.

Since the body, self care and healing were so integral to this project, they would be great for packaging for intentional, well crafted skincare products like lotions, face washes, and masks that are built for care rather than enforcing singular aesthetics.

The vibrant, textured, and semi-realistic illustrations of the fruit are indicative of their best qualities, some call to shapes and bumps that we find in our bodies, and others to the healing properties.
